VIJAKO BREAKS GROUND ON 168-SHOPHOUSE PACKAGE AT SUN URBAN CITY – ONCE AGAIN TRUSTED BY SUN GROUP AS GENERAL CONTRACTOR

On the morning of June 30, 2025, in a solemn and professional atmosphere, VIJAKO Vietnam Construction Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction package involving structural works and exterior finishing for 168 shophouses located in adjacent 4 and 5 lots – Subzone 1 of the Sun Urban City project – The Urban Area of Innovation and the New Era by Sun Group.

The award of this new, significantly larger-scale 168-shophouse package compared to the previous two contracts reflects the Employer’s strong confidence in VIJAKO’s construction management capabilities, quality, and schedule control. Living up to this trust, VIJAKO is committed to upholding its sense of responsibility and partnering with Sun Group to create a vibrant, livable subzone within Sun Urban City.

PACKAGE OVERVIEW

This contract covers the construction of 168 shophouses, located on adjacent 4 and 5 lots within Subzone 1 of Sun Urban City – The Urban Area of Innovation and the New Era. Lot adjacent 4 includes 86 units on a construction area of approximately 7,570 m². Lot adjacent 5 consists of 82 units covering about 5,450 m².
This new package is several times larger than the two previously awarded packages.

The new bid package is many times larger in scale than the previous two bid packages.

The scope of work includes complete construction of foundations, basements, superstructures, and exterior finishing for all units. Notably, the entire workload is scheduled for completion within 195 days – a highly tight and challenging timeline given the current fluctuations in material–equipment prices and critical labor shortages. This demands meticulous preparation, dynamic project management, and close coordination from the VIJAKO project team.

As the designated contractor, VIJAKO is fully committed to transforming design drawings into a high-quality project that meets the Employer’s expectations.

Accordingly, VIJAKO has proactively prepared necessary resources – skilled personnel, materials, and equipment from the beginning and developed a flexible construction plan aligned with actual site conditions and the project’s master schedule.

Besides, on-site engineers will closely monitor all construction activities, ensuring tight coordination with the Employer to maintain safety, construction quality, and schedule control from day one.
